Dalgety Bay train times to/from Edinburgh
Mondays to Fridays
Saturdays
Sundays

The Monday to Saturday service is two trains an hour all day (including evening), one to/from Leven and one to/from Perth (with some extra peak services).
Sundays is an hourly service to/from Leven
Note Mondays to Thursdays due to Engineering Work the last train from Edinburgh is at 22:33, there are later trains to Inverkeithing.

Engineering Work - Saturday 17th to Sunday 25th January 2026
No trains will run between Edinburgh and Inverkeithing.
Buses will run from Dalgety Bay to/from Edinburgh Gateway and at certain times Haymarket and Edinburgh Waverley
Train tickets will be valid on Edinburgh Trams between Edinburgh Gateway and St Andrews Square and vv..
Trains will run from Inverkeithing to Leven and Dundee calling at Dalgety Bay.

Saturday 17th & 24th January
Coaches depart Dalgety Bay at 06:20, 06:50 then at 20 and 50 minutes past the hour to Edinburgh Gateway [Inverkeithing and Dalmeny] until 23:50
(22:20, 22:50, 23:20 and 23:50 run through to Edinburgh Waverley [Inverkeithing, Dalmeny, Edinburgh Gateway and Haymarket])
In addition Coaches depart Dalgety Bay at 10:05, 10:35 then at 05 and 35 minutes past the hour to Haymarket until 18:05
Note a similar service runs in the reverse direction

Sunday 18th & 25th January
Coaches depart Dalgety Bay to Edinburgh Gateway [Inverkeithing and Dalmeny] at 08:47, 09:14, 10:14, 10:37, 10:55, 11:49, 12:14, 12:49,

NOTE - The online journey planners do not currently have the Tram connections from Edinburgh Gateway in their database and so are not displaying a number of journeys or are routing via Edinburgh Airport

The Stagecoach X58 Express coach services run to Edinburgh via Inverkeithing and Ferrytoll

Stagecoach X58 and Bay Travel 87 go via Ferrytoll for other services including 747 to the Airport.
Stagecoach 7/7A/7B/7C link Dalgety Bay with Inverkeithing, Rosyth and Dunfermline.
The Bay Travel 87 links Dalgety Bay with Dunfermline via Duloch Park and Nth Queensferry via Inverkeithing (Daytime)
The Bay Travel 83 links Dalgety Bay with Dunfermline via Duloch Park and Fife Leisure Park (Evenings and Sundays)
The X58 goes to St Andrews via Kirkcaldy, Leven and Largoward
The 7/7A goes to Leven via Aberdour, Kirkcaldy and Victoria Hospital
